Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 04/01/2025
By booking a service with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Services are performed only on the specific vessel(s) and at the location(s) agreed upon in the booking.

  • The Client warrants they are the owner, or have the legal authority to contract services for the vessel.

  • Captain Clean Detailing may, at its sole discretion, decline or discontinue service if unsafe, unsanitary, or misrepresented conditions exist.

  • Services are offered based on the description and condition provided at booking. Although unlikely, a final scope may be adjusted after in-person inspection.

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring clear and safe access to the vessel, including providing all required marina, slip, or dock permissions, gate codes, and/or access passes.

  • The vessel must be reasonably accessible for equipment and personnel. Any delays or rescheduling due to access issues may incur fees.

  • The Client should remove or secure any personal items, valuables, or sensitive equipment prior to service. Captain Clean Detailing is not responsible for loss or damage to items left unsecured.

  • Appointment times are estimates. Arrival may vary based on traffic, weather, or preceding jobs. We will communicate promptly if delays arise.

  • Services may be rescheduled for weather, safety, or operational reasons at the sole discretion of Captain Clean Detailing.

  • Clients may reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment without penalty.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours, or if access is not possible at the scheduled time, may be subject to a cancellation or trip fee of up to 10% of the quoted price.

  • Estimated service times are provided for scheduling only. Actual duration may vary based on vessel condition, size, and unforeseen circumstances.

  • If, upon arrival, the vessel requires significantly more time, labor, or materials than described, Captain Clean Detailing reserves the right to adjust the quoted price or recommend a different service package.

  • Any additional or unanticipated work will be discussed with the Client prior to completion.

  • Standard detailing does not include heavy restoration, repair of damaged or failing materials, deep rust removal, hull repairs, or mechanical work unless explicitly quoted.

  • Some stains, oxidation, or material damage may not be fully correctable, even after advanced treatment.

  • Mold and mildew remediation is provided only as specified in the selected package. Extensive biological hazards, infestations, or hazardous substances may require specialized remediation and may result in service refusal.

  • Services are subject to weather and environmental regulations. Captain Clean Detailing complies with all local laws regarding water use, runoff, and chemical disposal.

  • Certain services may be delayed, postponed, or adapted to comply with environmental advisories (rain, wind, surf, drought, etc.).

  • Environmentally safe and marine-friendly products are used whenever possible.

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, approved checks, or other electronic means.

  • Returned checks or failed payments are subject to a $35 fee plus any collection costs.

  • Prices are subject to change based on vessel condition, service upgrades, or additional labor/materials required.

  • Captain Clean Detailing is not liable for pre-existing damage, deteriorated finishes, aging seals, or mechanical/electrical malfunctions coincidentally discovered during or after service.

  • The Client agrees to release Captain Clean Detailing from claims for loss or damage unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • Before and after photos or videos may be taken for quality assurance, liability protection, and/or marketing (see Section 10).

  • The Client agrees to indemnify and hold Captain Clean Detailing harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of service provision, except where prohibited by law.

  • If you are not satisfied with your service, notify us within 24 hours. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve your concerns, which may include a return visit or partial refund at our discretion.

  • Complaints or disputes must be reported within 24 hours of service completion for consideration.

  • Captain Clean Detailing may use before/after photos or video for marketing, training, or documentation, but will never share identifying details (boat name, registration, etc.) without consent.

  • Customers may opt out of media use by notifying us prior to service.

  • Customer data will not be sold or shared outside the company except as required for payment processing, legal compliance, or marketing by Captain Clean Detailing.

  • Captain Clean Detailing collects personal and vessel information solely for the purpose of providing services and communicating with clients.

  • Information is stored securely and not shared with third parties except as required for business operations.

  • If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Honolulu County, Hawaii.
